Op de set met Zac Efron

Zac Efron en Michelle Pfeiffer hebben het naar hun zin op de set van hun nieuwe film in New York. De twee zijn volop bezig met de opnames voor de nieuwe romantische komedie ‘New Year’s Eve‘, een film waarin het leven van verschillende personen verbonden raakt op oudejaarsavond.

Na een luchtige babbel met Efron nam de 52-jarige Pfeiffer een scène op waarbij haar personage terecht komt in een berg afval, nadat ze op het nippertje een voorbijrazende taxi kan ontwijken. De film, waarin ook Katherine Heigl, Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher, Josh Duhamel en Robert De Niro hun opwachting maken, wordt verwacht in december.

Zac Efron is set to star in The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, a role to which Shia LaBeouf was previously attached, reports The Playlist. The movie is described as follows:

Charlie Countryman was just a normal guy… until he fell in love with the one girl who will probably get him killed. When Charlie meets the absolutely irresistible Gabi she’s already been claimed by Nigel, an insanely violent crime boss with a gang of thugs at his disposal. Armed with little more than his wit and naïve charm, Charlie endures one bruising beat down after another to woo Gabi and keep her out of harm’s way. Finally his exploits of blind valor create such a mess that he’s left with only one way out; to save the girl of his dreams, must Charlie Countryman die?

The movie was written by Matt Drake. Dante Ariola was previously expected to direct, but that is no longer the case.

Zac Efron: Zen Foods On The Go!

Zac Efron checks his phone before watching his steps back to his car in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (January 20).

The 23-year-old actor was toting around a Zen Foods bag filled to the top — a company that former flame Vanessa Hudgens is boasting.

Talk around the internet is that Zac flew to North Carolina to visit Vanessa, who is working on Journey 2 there. He’s been spotted hanging out with Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols as well.

Zac Efron’s Favorite TV Show Is “Modern Family”

Zac Efron told Mario Lopez at the Golden Globe Awards during an interview that his favorite TV show is currently “Modern Family,” which airs on ABC. Zac also said that his favorite movie he has seen recently is “The Social Network.”

Zac also told Mario that he would love to meet any of the celebrities who attended the Golden Globe Awards because they are all people he would like to work with. Zac just finished filming his movie “The Lucky One,” and will soon begin filming the movie “New Years Eve.”

Zac Efron Confirms ‘New Year’s Eve’ Role

Zac heeft gisteravond bij de 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards bekend gemaakt dat hij in New Year’s Eve zal gaan spelen:

There’s been plenty of speculation over which of Hollywood’s hottest will countdown to midnight in Garry Marshall’s ensemble rom-com “New Year’s Eve.” So let’s put on our party hats and bust out the bubbly, because we’ve got some scoop on one star who’ll definitely be watching the ball drop: Mr. Zac Efron. Last we heard, the 23-year-old actor was mulling a part as a bike messenger, so he must have accepted the role, as he told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz that the flick would be his next project now that filming on “The Lucky One” has concluded.

“I’m starting a movie in a couple of weeks called ‘New Year’s Eve,’ with Garry Marshall,” he confirmed to MTV News. “It’s got a great cast.”

Indeed, it has. With names like Robert De Niro, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank and Sienna Miller attached, it’s giving “Valentine’s Day” a run for its star-studded money. But the big question is: Who will Zac share scenes with? Why, none other than Michelle Pfeiffer.

“My scenes are with Michelle Pfeiffer,” Zac said with a grin. “Yeah, not a bad co-star.” With Michelle reportedly playing a corporate secretary trying to fulfill her resolutions with just a few hours left, we’re quite curious to see how Zac factors into that equation. Do we smell some cougar/cub potential? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
